ROMAN HOARD FOUND !! Treasure hunters unearth nearly 2,000 Roman coins

A pair of metal detecting enthusiasts have unearthed nearly 2,000 Roman coins in a farmer's field in Cornwall.

Kyle Neil, 18, and Darren Troon, 45, made the shock discovery as they swept through the newly-ploughed earth.



They found a total of 1,965 coins inside a stone-lined pit dating between 253AD to 274AD.

Mixed with the money was the remains of a pure tin container with a handle and lead stopper, which it is believed once contained the coins.
