A newlywed was reunited with her lost engagement ring after it was found in the ocean, three months after it disappeared.

Christie Campbell, 22, was on holiday in Spain when the specially-designed band, created by her husband Calum, went missing on a packed beach in May.

Calum, 24, and cousin Stuart Campbell had searched the packed strand for hours to no avail, and Stuart left contact details with a local metal detecting enthusiast in case he ever unearthed the sentimental item.

The couple were devastated and left the country believing they would never see the precious piece of jewellery again.

So Stuart was shocked when he received the amazing news that Christie's treasured ring had been found.

The couple, who have been together for seven years and were engaged last year, had been swimming in the water at the beach the day the ring went missing. But it wasn't until after they came out of the sea that Christie noticed her precious piece of jewellery was gone.
