Jessé Holt was treated by the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital when he was diagnosed with a rare disease at the age of six

An 11-year-old boy who is vice chairman of a metal detectors' club has sought help in raising money for a hospital which once saved his life.

Jessé Holt, from Pentre, is fundraising for the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity, and is being supported by the Rhondda Artefacts and Research Enthusiasts - a local metal detectors' club where he is the youngest member.
In November 2010 Jessé became increasingly ill after being originally diagnosed with tonsillitis. It developed into a streptococcal infection, scarlet fever and Kawasaki Disease - also known as mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome.
