THE HOEN TREASURE

This amazing hoard of viking gold was found as a result of a trenching operation on the river drammenselva river in buskerud, near norway in 1875.
20 coins, 50 pieces of jewelery, 125 pearls, totalling 2.5 kg of gold.
The oldest coin is roman dated 364- 367 while most coins are arabic from the 800s.
Was thought the treasure could of been buried as a offering to a norse god. Wouldn't of been a bad detecting find would it 😂
