The remains of a plague victim have been found during building work at a school.

The skeleton is thought to date back to the 17th century or earlier.

The discovery was made during an excavation over the Easter holidays as part of investigative works for a new classroom building at St Mary's RC Primary School in the Leith area of Edinburgh.
