Emerging from a sandy grave: Wreckage of 1,000-tonne Norwegian World War I cargo ship causes problems for sailors 100 years after it sank off the Norfolk coast



The SS Hjordis, a 976 tonne Norwegian cargo ship, went down off Blakeney Point, Norfolk, in 1916
The vessel had been buried in the sand but has been unearthed over the last year by shifting tides
The ship now sits on Blakeney bar, in the middle of the entrance to the harbour, and poses a risk to sailors
