Red-hot ‘meteor’ from outer space lands in back garden in Yorkshire

It came from outer space - and landed in a back garden in Yorkshire.

Stunned David Stevenson watched in amazement as the blazing object crashed into his turf.

The red-hot space rock scorched a metre wide patch on the ground.

David, 46, said: "It genuinely looked like something had landed from the sky.

"I was having a cigarette with a mate outside and we thought we could smell a bonfire burning.
