Bones found beneath Aberdeen Art Gallery by contractors

Bones have been discovered by workers digging under a public building in Aberdeen.

Contractors made the discovery on Wednesday during major renovation work at Aberdeen Art Gallery on Schoolhill.

The discovery comes after 92 bodies dating back to the 13th century were found under the building earlier this year.

Aberdeen City Council has now drafted in an archaeologist to check out the bones, which are believed to be human.
Councillor Angela Taylor said: "Pieces of bone were found on the site yesterday.
