Roman wall found under 5 star hotel in York

Archaeologists have uncovered the remains of an ancient wall in the courtyard of the Grand Hotel and Spa York.

The wall is believed to date back to the early Roman era and was found during ground works for the hotels new extension - appropriately named Roman House.
